Measure your foot in centimetres and get your size in US, UK and EU — plus which brands run narrow, wide, or true to size.
How to measure: stand on paper, trace around your foot, and measure the longest distance from heel to toe. Do both feet and use the longer one.
Brand fit notes (from our guides)
Nike runs narrow — wide feet usually go up half a size or pick a Wide version.
New Balance runs wide and offers the most Wide / Extra Wide options.
Brooks and Hoka run true to size, with roomy toe boxes.
Dansko runs snug at first — the leather breaks in over 1–2 weeks.
Crocs run roomy — most people stay in their usual size or size down.
Width advice
Wide feet: look for Wide (2E men / D women) versions — sizing up in length just moves the pinch.
Between sizes: go up, not down — tight shoes cause bunions, corns and black toenails.
Always try shoes on in the afternoon, when feet are at their largest.
Sizes are approximate — brands vary by up to a full size, so check the brand's own size chart before ordering. Conversions use the common US / UK / EU scales.
